PEM in Romania

PEM was again invited by the German State Theatre (Teatrul German de Stat Timișoara) in Timisoara to hold a four day acting workshop at the Youth Theater Festival (Jugendtheaterfestival) in Romania. This year, PEM was represented by Kata Klug, member of the German PEM Ensemble in Hamburg and personal assistant to PEM Master Instructor Sarah Victoria. It was a fantastic experience to work with dedicated young and aspiring actors from German-speaking communities in Romania, Serbia, Croatia, Hungary and Ukraine. We announced yesterday that the Royal Central School of Speech & Drama has been rated as the top drama school in the UK! PEM practice groups in Australia and New Zealand!

While the PEM team has returned to Europe, our representatives down under will now offer PEM training opportunities for local actors. Australian PEM representative Rik Stowman held the first session of the PEM practice group in Melbourne today. The group meets weekly. NZ representative Jon Hunter will start the PEM sessions tomorrow in Auckland. What an extraordinary tour of New Zealand and Australia!

Starting at New Zealand's National Drama School Toi Whakaari: NZ Drama School, PEM creator and director Stephan Perdekamp, voice coach Kristina Heuer, Master Instructor Sarah Victoria and PEM Australia Representative Rik Stowman spent two full weeks with the first and second year acting students sharing the knowledge of PEM and watching the incredible transformations that occur when dedication meets craft and inspiration! The weekend workshops in Wellington, Auckland and Christchurch were outstanding.
