„PEM is the alphabet of our art.“

Carina Buena, actress, Romaina

A fascinating approach to acting that is clear, concise and contemporary.

If I could sum up PEM in one word it’s „confidence“

Description:

What is it?

The foundation workshops are designed as an introductory enounter with the principles of PEM’s biological acting process. The workshops introduce bodily trigger-points that give you easy, safe and immediate access to the six basic emotions of PEM, and additional exercises to reach intense emotional expressions on a purely physical level. With PEM, emotions become a reliable and subtle tool of performance.
Master Instructor Sarah Victoria returns to New Zealand following highly-praised workshops around the country in 2017.

How will it work?

True emotions are the key to authentic and touching performances for film and stage. They sometimes need to be out and loud – but sometimes they need to be battled and suppressed to be even more gripping. The workshop will teach easy and repeatable access to physical triggers for biological emotions, allowing for subtle or intense artistic work. The workshop also offers exercises to work through emotional blockages to safely release pent-up emotions. You will learn easy releasing exercises to neutralise emotional tensions (fear, stress, etc.), and access to breath that will support intense emotional expressiveness.

What do I get out of it?

This workshop is not just for actors. It’s suitable for singers, dancers, artists, therapists, communicators and facilitators. You will gain emotional confidence and intensity – and freedom from blockages that will allow you to safe and repeatable access your full potential of expression and depth.
