Actress Liana Brener shares her PEM experience

PEM will be shared at one of the world’s leading performing arts academies: the Western Australian Academy of Performing Arts WAAPA. Master Instructor Sarah Victoria and Australian PEM representative Rik Stowman will travel to Perth, Australia, this week to teach the first, second and third-year acting students PEM’s unique approach to the biological use of emotion. WAAPA’s alumni include Hugh Jackman, Heath Ledger and Tim Minchin. After having previously taught at the renowned National Institute for Dramatic Arts NIDA on Australia’s East Coast, we are excited to share our knowledge with actors in Perth!

We really enjoyed our online training workshop with Japanese actors last week! Twelve dedicated artists trained PEM for three days with PEM Master Instructor Sarah Victoria, translated by actress Yuho Yamashita. Thank you for your work and we plan on continuing the training with PEM workshops in Tokyo and Osaka in December!

PEM calling Tokyo

Over the next three days, PEM Master Instructor Sarah Victoria teaches a PEM online workshop for a group of Japanese actors. The workshop was organized by actress Yuho Yamashita who will also act as a translator alongside Sarah Victoria. It is a particularly exciting experience to work with a culture so different from our Western society and share the biological knowledge about emotions with them - something we all have in common. VASTA peer review of PEM workshop

The peer reviews from the VASTA conference are out and our PEM workshop in Singapore this August received an open acknowledgement and enthusiastic remarks about our work. Many voice and drama experts from universities worldwide attended our workshop led by PEM Master Instructor Sarah Victoria and the creator of PEM voice Kristina Heuer. PEM project at national drama school Toi Whakaari in New Zealand

If you were to walk into Toi Whakaari: New Zealand Drama School this week, you would have been challenged by these faces looming larger-than-life over you as you entered the main plaza. Jack William Parker - final year acting student at Toi Whakaari - presented an exhibition as part of Toi Whakaari's annual 'Festival of Work in Development' this week.
