NZ PEM Representative Jon Hunter presented a bursting-at-the-seams workshop today at the Drama NZ conference in Auckland. The workshop – ‘The Physiology of Emotion: Working with the body to give safe access to authentic emotion in performance’ – introduced a lively audience of drama teachers, directors and performing arts practitioners from across NZ and Australia to the Perdekamp Emotional Method.
The theme of this year’s conference is ‘He Ngākau Ngahau: A Joyful Heart’ – an environment ripe for starting meaningful conversations and introducing new ways of working consciously and conscientiously with emotion in performance.
